Reflection #2

A few days ago, I visited a fourth grade classroom. I was really shocked at the fact that the only real piece of technology used was a document camera. Eveything else was simply pen and paper. However, I must give them the benefit of the doubt. It was a different day for them and the math lesson was cut short. Yet, I was not sure why this school, which I knew had lots of district funding did not have more. Had they a SMART Board or something like it, the students would have been far more engaged and on task.

  1. I observed a first grade classroom today. They did not even have a document camera for the class use. This, however was a private school. They may have not had enough funding to get one.
